What is a cannabis strain?

The cannabis plant creates a cannabis strain. When different types of parent strains breed together, they create a new strain with similar properties to the parent strains. A strain provides the buds their effects, aromas, and appearance.

What is a cannabis concentrate?

A cannabis concentrate is made of extracted cannabinoids and terpenes. These highly concentrated forms of cannabis usually have the texture of sugar, butter, or wax. They are commonly made by pouring a form of gas over the frozen or dried cannabis plants to collect the terpenes and cannabinoids. This process results in the concentrated form being much stronger than the original form.

What is an edible?

Cannabis edibles are food products with added cannabinoids. Various edibles affect people differently, so it is critical to start slow when consuming edibles. Edibles are ingested, providing a different psychotropic affect than a concentrate or a flower.

What are terpenes?

There are more than 150 types of terpenes in various cannabis plants. These organic compounds are made of aromatic oils that give cannabis strains their unique flavors and aromas. Usually only present in trace amounts, prominent terpenes combine to bring signature scent profiles of diverse cannabis strains to life.

Where can I use my cannabis in Michigan?

You can consume cannabis in the privacy of your own home or in state-licensed consumption establishments.

What is the difference between CBD and THC?

CBD and THC are the two most popular and common cannabinoids in the cannabis plant. Cannabis and hemp both produce CBD and THC. CBD and THC have different chemical arrangements, allowing the body to receive them differently. The compounds in CBD and THC bind to the brain’s neurotransmitters to affect your levels of pain, mood, sleep, and memory. THC has psychotropic effects, while CBD’s effects will not intoxicate you.

What is the strongest edible I can purchase in Michigan?

For recreational customers in Michigan, the strength cap is 100mg of THC, or ten servings, for each edible package. It’s important to always start slow with edibles. The strength cap for medical customers is 500mg of THC per package.

How much recreational cannabis can I purchase in Michigan?
